The use of cookies – small files web servers utilize to track, personalize and store information about users’ sessions while visiting company websites – is quite common. However, due to privacy policies, visitors must know whether a website browsed uses cookies. For this reason, users must acknowledge a website cookie notice by accepting the use of cookies. Of the analyzed IR websites of companies listed in the OTCQX U.S. Index, 88% were not informing users of the use of cookies, our study found.

The study also provides information on SEC Filings, Press Release services, E-mail Alerts, Tear Sheets, website responsiveness and IR best practices, such as videos about company results on the homepage or other pages of the company website.
